The history of creating the Christmas collection from HOM-ME
26 Dekabr 2023

What contributes to the ambiance of a cozy home and a festive atmosphere? The names of its occupants, the family's heritage, traditions, and, undoubtedly, the decor. In this regard, the initial impression is shaped by the interior design, the essence, and the prevailing atmosphere within the residence, along with the warm hospitality of its inhabitants. Porcelain, glass, gold, and textiles in this context serve as minor elements that, nevertheless, complete the whole picture.
In anticipation of Christmas and New Year, it's customary to make wishes and give yourself and your loved ones an atmosphere of wonders and magic. That's why the Azerbaijani brand Hom-me has developed a limited Christmas collection of porcelain and textiles called Royal Christmas. The brand's offerings will meet the highest expectations in setting a refined table and adorning the home, infusing them with a distinct festive ambiance.
The Christmas textiles, comprising tablecloths, runners, and pillows, are crafted from tapestry and adorned with golden lurex embroidery. These items add a distinct elegance and luxury to the household. The brand creators note that the development of the textile line of the Royal Christmas collection was carried out by the finest craftsmen at factories in Belgium and Russia. In this regard, the brand has succeeded, as it's the first time tapestry—a fabric of rare characteristics that has long been highly valued in European culture—has been used in the production of textile products in the Azerbaijani market.

The interweaving of red, green, and coffee shades with a subtle hint of gold creates an image of a winter fairy tale and brings a sense of coziness. It's also a successful combination chosen for the dinner and tea sets from the Royal Christmas collection. This color palette allows for setting the table in combination with various types of tableware: porcelain, ceramics, crystal, and many other varieties. The abundance is not created here by the sheer number of items on the table but by the decorative plates. They sustain the festive atmosphere and set the theme for winter celebrations. Let the main dinnerware remain white, while the decorative plates from the Hom-me Christmas collection take the spotlight. The shades and patterns on the porcelain, music, cozy lighting, the clinking of glasses, the mingling of voices over an aperitif. All is set—please, join us at the table. In this case, the festive table will perform as a symphony that will 'echo' in your memory for years to come.

In this decision and approach by the creators of the collection, there lies a small story that we would like to share with our readers. It turns out that the design concept of the Royal Christmas collection belongs to Azerbaijani artist Fazil Yagubov. His works have gained popularity at various exhibitions held in the UAE, Kazakhstan, and London. Upon receiving the order from the brand Hom-me to develop the Christmas collection, the artist decides to embark on a tour across Europe. It's only when he finds himself in Florence that he realizes what will be depicted on the items in the future collection.

The author of the Royal Christmas collection is Fazil Yagubov.
“While strolling through Florence, my attention was caught by a small poinsettia bush blooming on the roadside leading down from the famous Piazzale Michelangelo. 'This is exactly what I need!'- I exclaimed. Inspired by this idea, I made several sketches, adding a few more elements: a red cardinal, winter cones. Later, I enhanced the color scheme, making it even more vibrant. What's most surprising is that upon my return to Baku, I presented the client with several sketches, but they were captivated by the one I drew in Florence. There was no doubt... Thus, the most striking element of the collection became the exotic plant, the poinsettia, also known as the ' Christmas Star' or 'Bethlehem Star,' as it adorns itself just before Christmas, and its bright red 'stars' light up above the green leaves. The development of this set took a whole 2 years", - shared Fazil Yagubov, reminiscing about the experience.

So once again Hom-me it has been proven, that the products of this brand are not just items, they represent a genuine tradition that can and should be passed down from generation to generation. The festive tableware is the primary attribute of an Azerbaijani family, adding special notes of happiness and warmth to every family celebration.
